It's officially the 'ber months in San Antonio and that means all things autumn have started making their debut (and by autumn, we don't actually mean cooler temps or leaves turning pretty colors because, hey, this is South Texas).
Friday night lights football, spooky Halloween decorations, and of course, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING are popping up left and right.
If the sights and smells of Fall got you feeling all the seasonal feels and you are ready to dive right into the action, choosing to head to one of the best pumpkin patches in San Antonio with the family is the next step for you.
So, load up your kids, your camera, and your sunscreen because it isn’t sweater weather just yet, and check out one of the many local pumpkin patches that start opening up at the end of September or beginning of October.

San Antonio Pumpkin Festival

The IMMENSELY popular San Antonio pumpkin festival is coming back for its second year to Broadway near the historic Pearl Brewery.
When it comes to pumpkin patches in San Antonio, this one has it ALL - pumpkins, carousel, corn pit, music, face painting, art installations, photo ops (a mini-Alamo sculpted out of hay!), and a ton more.
Be sure to buy your tickets ahead of time online as they will sell out. Walk-ups will not be available.

Bracken Methodist Church
Admission: free to both the patch and the festival
Opening Dates: September 28 - October 31
Hours: Mon - Fri from 5pm - 7pm, and Sat - Sun from 9am - 7pm
Bracken Methodist Church's long-running San Antonio pumpkin patch includes a number of photo booths and cutouts, as well as crafts, and hayrides.

Universal City Pumpkin Patch
Admission: free parking and entry to the patch, guests are asked to purchase a pumpkin to support the ongoing operations of the patch
Opening Dates: October 4 - 31
Hours: Mon - Thur from 3pm - 7pm and Fri - Sun from 10am - 7pm
This pet-friendly patch is a great place for the whole tribe because no family photo is complete without the furry family members present.
The Universal City Pumpkin Patch opens on October 4 and will offer photo ops, field games, hay rides and a hay maze.
There will also be a number of special weekend events including community heroes days where members of the UC police and fire departments will be present to interact with guests. See the website for a full list of special patch events.
*Adult Patch Fun!* For those 21 and older who enjoy an adult pumpkin patch experience, be sure not to miss Wine on the Vine on October 13 from 6pm to 8pm for an evening of wine, live music, and food trucks. Tickets for this event are $35/person or $320 for a reserved table of 8.
Parking: Free parking is available in the lot between the Municipal Building and the Fire Station. Additional free parking is available in the grass lot at the intersection of Universal City Blvd and Eldorado.

Pipe Creek Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch

The Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch is not only a pumpkin patch but a fully operational Christmas tree farm. You can come to kill two-holiday birds with one stone by selecting your family pumpkin while scouting out the perfect Christmas tree.
The admission fee covers hayrides, a haystack, scarecrow dressing, visiting farm animals, rubber duck races, a hop ball, and more. Rides on the kiddie barrel train, pumpkin painting, and concessions are available for an additional fee.

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church

This photo station heavy San Antonio pumpkin patch is a great place to come select your family pumpkin, with prices starting as low as $1.
All pumpkin proceeds will go to various local charities and church functions. Additionally, their super popular pumpkin bread will be available for purchase each day until it sells out.

Good News Pumpkin Patch

Located southeast of San Antonio on Old Corpus Christi Hwy, the Good News Pumpkin Patch is a favorite of many looking to make their pumpkin patch visit a full day/evening event.
In addition to pumpkins, this patch offers hayrides, inflatables, and mazes, with special movie nights planned for 8 pm every Saturday night in October. While the entrance is free, additional fees are charged per activity.
New this year, the Good News Pumpkin Patch will be hosting special Market Days on October 5, 6, 26, and 27. Vendors will be on site to attend to your shopping needs and kids can take advantage of crafts, a petting zoo, a barrel train, and more.

Graff 7A Ranch

Beginning September 14, families can visit the Graff 7A Ranch in Hondo, TX, home to a number of activities including slides down "MatterCorn Mountain," zip lines, hayrides, hay bale jumps, photo opportunities, and the brand new activity for 2024, the Tres Toboggan.
The admission fee covers all activities except the apple cannons, campfire rentals, and the purchase of any pumpkins.

Located in Devine,TX off of FM 2200 and open during the weekends in October, the Devine Acres Farm Fall Countryfest offers 50 attractions on more than 40 acres to keep you and your family busy.
In addition to all the pumpkins, you can enjoy fishing, animal interactions, live entertainment, family games, and a kiddie train. There are also lots of places for the kiddos to jump, crawl, and run.

Circle N Maze and Pumpkin Patch

Just half an hour east of San Antonio, located in La Vernia, TX, is the Circle N Maze and Pumpkin Patch. This large corn maze and pumpkin patch will also include a petting zoo, slides, a corn pit, tire climb, food, and more.
If you would like to bring that special family pooch along for some fall fun, pets will welcome on “dog day” on October 27.
The maze may close on rainy days due to flooding, so be sure to check the website on your preferred day of arrival to ensure that they are open.

Owl Creek Farm

Just west of San Antonio is Owl Creek Farm, a farm hosting year round festivals and a petting zoo.
For $10/person, guests to the annual pumpkin patch at Owl Creek Farm will have access to the petting zoo, as well as a number of patch activities including photo ops, hayrides, tire climbing, and carnival games.
New for 2024, pumpkins by day and terror by night! Owl Creek is introducing a brand new haunted maze on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings in October. Admission is $25/person. Click here for tickets and information.
