5 Places To Eat Near Six Flags Fiesta Texas (that your kids will like too!)
San Antonio is home to world-class entertainment and activities, chief among them its theme parks. Six Flags Fiesta Texas draw thousands of visitors each year who are looking to be amused and exhilarated by Six Flags’ singular blend of heart-stopped thrill rides and rollicking musical performances.
But what people DON’T come to Six Flags for is the food. Let’s face it, the dining options at Six Flags are appalling. The food is unsurprisingly way overpriced, mediocre at best, and barely passable at its worst. While you may be willing to pay for the fun, we suggest looking elsewhere for the food. Here are 5 places to eat near Six Flags Fiesta Texas that both you and your kids will enjoy!
ABOUT US
We’re Kelsey and Sara, two local foodies with a combined 29 years of eating in San Antonio, two travel books, and millions of blog readers. We adore local spots, rarely visit chain restaurants, and we aren't afraid to tell you the truth. After spending thousands of our own $$$ at hundreds of local hot spots, we're sharing the best with you.
5 Places To Eat Near Six Flags Fiesta Texas
1. La Panadería
We love ourselves some La Panadería! It is an absolute favorite for locals across the city and easily one of the best brunch restaurants in San Antonio.
Luckily, one of its three locations is just a hop, skip, and jump away from the entrance to Six Flags.
This fast-casual panadería is a great place to grab a quick bite but not skimp on flavor or quality. Brunch items, as well as tortas and salads, are all substantial and filling, making La Panadería the perfect place for a midday theme park recharge or end-of-day, cool-down dinner.
The kids will also love this location as they will be greeted by a cooler case with a gorgeous array of colorful pastries and pan dulces that is both a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
And just go ahead and let them order that Mexican Hot Chocolate. (It doesn’t matter how hot it is outside; it’s always a good time for hot chocolate.)

2. Whiskey Cake
Whiskey Cake, located at the Shops at La Cantera, is a farm-to-table, rustic-chic restaurant that sources all of its ingredients locally, and is, by far, one of the best places to eat near Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Craft cocktails and comfort foods with a gourmet twist are the primary menu offerings and include dishes like shrimp and grits, pork ribs, and wood-grilled salmon.
Burgers and salads round out the varied menu here, making it a solid choice for eaters with different tastes and preferences.
And no trip to Whiskey Cake is complete without the namesake piece of whiskey cake, which is drenched in a decadent bourbon anglaise and finished with fresh whipped cream. Each heavenly piece is enough to feed a multitude for a week. But having just walked some serious theme park miles, you can reward yourself.

3. Fralo's
Fralo's is one of the best pizza places in San Antonio, and thankfully, is only about 5 minutes north of Six Flags. Skip the theme park pizza, because Fralo's is where it's at.
Fralo's has a decent sized menu of pizzas, pastas, and salads. Gluten free crust or take and bake are also available which offers more options to those on special diets, or those who are just plain tired after a day of roller-coastering in the hot sun.

4. The General Public

If family-friendly pub grub near Six Flags is what you’re after, then the General Public is for you.
Located on the east side of I-10 in the Rim, the General Public is a casual sit-down restaurant serving up quality bar food all day long.
House specialty entrees like the fish and chips or bacon burger pair great with one of the General Public’s house specialty cocktails like the house margarita or Lynchburg sour.
And while the menu is pretty pub standard, a few highlights include the daily tots (crispy tater tots with toppings that change daily), the giant pretzel, and the green chile grilled cheese.
Don’t miss their $ 12-weekday lunch specials for an affordable yet delicious lunch.

Bunz Handcrafted Burgers
Why eat over-priced, mass-produced, previously frozen burgers at Six Flags, when you get one of the best burgers in San Antonio nearby for the same price (or less!)?
Bunz Handcrafted Burgers is a rock star of a burger joint with a focus on fresh ingredients and burgers made from scratch. With a huge menu of creative gourmet options, Bunz is where it's at for post-theme park burgers.
Your kids will be happy because they get a burger, and you'll be happy because it will taste amazing and be well worth what you pay for it.

Parking
Given that each one of these restaurants is located in a large shopping complex, parking is not a problem. It’s free, and there is plenty of it, which is precisely what you want after navigating a day at Six Flags – a delicious, hassle-free meal that you don’t have to cook or clean up after.
