A Peek Into Bombay Bicycle Club’s New Location At Hemisfair
Bombay Bicycle Club recently opened a second location at Hemisfair, the area in downtown San Antonio that once played host to the 1968 World Fair. As a local who has watched it transform for decades, I can tell you that this area has seen a massive revitalization in recent years.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sara Branstetter has called San Antonio, TX home for the last 20 years. She’s a wife of a veteran, mom of four, and a cuddler of the world's best dog. The army brought her family to San Antonio years ago, and the city, its culture, and its food have kept her here.
Hemisfair is now home to some of San Antonio’s culinary big dogs – Dough Pizzeria Napoletana (one of the best restaurants in San Antonio), CommonWealth Coffeehouse and Bakery (one of the best coffee shops in San Antonio), and Box Street All Day (one of the best brunch restaurants in San Antonio). The full list of Hemisfair restaurants is really just a recipe for days of happy eating.
And the recent opening of the Bombay Bicycle Club’s second location only adds more depth to the Hemisfair’s already deep roster. The BBC is a fitting addition to Hemisfair as it is successfully working the old-revitalized-into-something-fresh vibe that seems to be the aesthetic for the whole area.

Bombay has made its home in an older house with a modern attachment and a patio bar overlooking Yanaguana Garden. Between the brightly colored palm frond wallpaper and GORGEOUS stained glass windows, Bombay has managed to create a sophisticated yet fresh space to dine.

American comfort food is the name of the dining game at Bombay. Nachos, burgers, sandwiches, and fried chicken make up the bulk of the menu here. And while you aren’t likely to discover something new and exciting or foreign and fun, your standard burger and fries will just be on point. Throw in a cold beer or one of their many cocktails and you’ve got the makings of a great American meal.
